ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mehr Bano Quershi has urged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan to apologize for the recent misogynistic remark regarding Azam Bukhari.
In a social media post, she said that “An apology is due. There is a lot to criticise when it comes to Maryam Nawaz and her coterie of hand maidens but the unparliamentary and ungentlemanly language used is wrong and deeply offensive. “
She further added that “As a woman and a fellow party member, I would urge my brother Shafi Jan to retract his words and tender an apology.
The PTI Punjab leader further added that “Of course, the kind of filth spewed in Punjab Assembly is just reflective of their own upbringing. We should not and must not stoop to their level.”
The statements have caused a stir on social media, where people and political analysts have commented on the language and tone used by the KP Minister when commenting on his political rival.
