RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The second important match of the three-match ODI series Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today.

Cricket fans are expecting a thrilling match. Both teams participated in a long practice session at the stadium to prepare thoroughly before the match, during which the players paid special attention to various aspects of batting, bowling, and fielding.

The coaching staff identified the shortcomings of the players and conducted practical exercises to improve them.

When the Sri Lankan team reached the stadium for practice, the cricket fans welcomed them warmly. The fans showered flower petals and expressed their love and respect for the guest players.

On this occasion, the players of both teams shook hands with each other and also had a brief conversation in a pleasant atmosphere. The fans said that Pakistan has paved the way for the revival of international cricket by defeating terrorism, and Pakistan-Sri Lanka friendship will always remain strong.

Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi, along with the Sri Lankan High Commissioner, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, and IG Islamabad, visited the stadium and reviewed the security arrangements in detail.

The Sri Lankan High Commissioner expressed complete satisfaction with the arrangements made and said that the Pakistani authorities have taken excellent steps.

It should be noted that in the first ODI match of the series, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six runs to take a one-nil lead.

Chasing Pakistan’s target of 300 runs, the Sri Lankan team was able to score 293 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Today’s match is of utmost importance for both teams.
