KARACHI (Kashmir English): Authorities have arrested a facilitator linked to India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for boosting a coordinated anti-state campaign through multiple social media accounts.

The suspect was receiving financial support from foreign handlers in exchange for disseminating anti-state content and amplifying propaganda targeting Pakistan across various social media platforms.

Much of the material was focused on Kashmir and the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), and the account holder was asking for millions of views across various social media platforms.

The facilitator of ‘RAW’ revealed that nowadays people buy tools to improve their accounts or businesses, people take services from us to promote their videos and products, and the health of their accounts looks good by providing the company service.

The facilitator said that by providing the service, if there is a brand, its followers are increased, if someone wants to increase followers or views or improve their account, they contact us.

The facilitator of ‘RAW’ revealed that in digital marketing, Strike is a payment gateway which is used to bring money from abroad to Pakistan. It allows you to connect to banks of different countries. Clients inform us about their account and other details, then bots are installed.

The bots are instructed to increase the views of such and such accounts, which works immediately. We mostly do not pay attention to what clients have published in their accounts.

In March, a client came who buys different packages of views and likes. This client bought packages from us again after 15 days and placed orders worth a total of about 3.6 million rupees. He placed orders for likes, views and postings on different platforms.

The RAW facilitator said that I worked a lot with this client, so the institutions contacted me and investigated, and I came to know about it. The content that was promoted through my service was placed in front of me. All that content was anti-state, containing various types of posts. There were also posts related to our army and the people.

The facilitator revealed that there were also posts by the client in it that contained negative narratives that people were being oppressed.

The RAW facilitator further said that the IP is hidden from the VPN but the device used leaves a footprint, the client came in March this year and the things were placed in front of me 20 days ago.

He said that the client bought many views from us for the Kashmiri people and the banned Joint Action Committee, I have all the details of the client which I have told the institutions.
