ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected the results of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, stating that the public mandate was mocked in the election while the public rejected PPP and PML-N.

According to reports, a joint meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf core and political committees was held, and its declaration was issued.

According to the declaration, both committees of PTI rejected the Azad Kashmir elections while stating that the Azad Kashmir elections were not transparent and the public mandate was mocked in the election.

Tehreek-e-Insaf also demanded a transparent investigation into the deaths in Azad Kashmir and action against those responsible, while the declaration stated that the Kashmiri people rejected N League and Peoples Party, and the low turnout is evidence of public distrust in the electoral process.

The PTI declaration stated that preparations for the August 5 Islamabad rally and consultations with allied parties are ongoing, adding this rally will represent public aspirations.

Tehreek-e-Insaf once again demanded that the founding chairman be given legal, constitutional, and human rights in prison, while allowing meetings with family, lawyers, and party leadership.

The Tehreek-e-Insaf core committee said that all political prisoners should be released immediately and political victimization must stop.

The declaration stated that unity, discipline, and solidarity are indispensable within the party, and all organizations should ensure unity and harmony while the release of the founding chairman and the supremacy of the constitution are the party’s top priority.
