MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) leader Khawaja Farooq Ahmed has been arrested from his residence in Muzaffarabad on Monday evening ahead of the party’s planned long march towards Islamabad on September 27.
According to sources, a heavy contingent of police raided former Opposition Leader AJK Assembly Farooq’s home in the city’s Lower Plate areas, when a consultative meeting was underway regarding the preparations for the Sept 27 march.
The police surrounded the residence for some time and later apprehended several party leaders and workers, including Khawaja Farooq.
