ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has asked general public to report anti‑state content on social media and the internet to the relevant platform and to the PTA for removal or blocking.

The PTA hoped that the public reports material that attacks the defence, integrity and security of Pakistan to the National Counter‑Terrorism and Cybersecurity Intelligence Agency (NCCIA) and to the PTA.

Furthermore, the authority said the PECA Act makes online sharing of content that targets Pakistan’s defence, integrity and security an illegal and punishable offence.

The PTA said that if someone from public find anti‑state content on social media or the internet, they should report it to the relevant social media platform and to the PTA.
