ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has introduced remote biometric verification through the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) PakID Mobile App, allowing businesses to complete biometric requirements using their smartphones.
The new integration enables users to complete biometric verification for PSW subscription, renewal, and profile updates without visiting a NADRA e-Sahulat Centre.
The facility is expected to particularly benefit overseas Pakistanis involved in international trade, who can now complete the verification process remotely rather than travelling to Pakistan for biometric verification.
During an interim period, both options will remain available. Users can either verify their identity through the PakID app or continue visiting NADRA e-Sahulat Centres.
PSW Chief Executive Officer Syed Aftab Haider said the integration reflects the organization’s efforts to address the needs of the PSW community in Pakistan and abroad. He said remote biometric verification removes another physical step from the onboarding process and makes the service more accessible.
According to PSW, the integration removes the last remaining physical requirement in the subscription process, making the onboarding process fully digital.
The development is part of PSW’s broader digitalisation efforts aimed at simplifying trade-related procedures and improving accessibility for businesses and overseas Pakistanis.
