ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): President Asif Ali Zardari and Chiefs of the Armed Forces have paid tribute to Pakistan Air Force Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas on his 55th death anniversary.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu paid tribute to Rashid Minhas on his 55th death anniversary.
In a joint statement, the Chiefs of the Armed Forces said that on this day in 1971, Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed displayed extraordinary courage and made an eternal sacrifice to protect the sovereignty and honor of Pakistan while facing an extraordinary challenge.
The ISPR statement said that this selfless act of Rashid Minhas Shaheed is a shining example of courage, loyalty, and determination to defend the motherland. The immortal legacy of Rashid Minhas Shaheed will continue to inspire the nation and the armed forces as an eternal symbol of duty.
The declaration once again reiterated the resolve of the people and armed forces of Pakistan to safeguard the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests.

On the other hand, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on the occasion of his 55th death anniversary, for his unparalleled sacrifice for the motherland.
The President said in his statement that Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, by sacrificing his life for the motherland at a young age, set an example of courage, duty and patriotism that will always be remembered.
