RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): On behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu have extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the 79th Independence Day.
The Armed Forces in their message said that the strength of Pakistan lies in the unity and collective resolve of its people.
The Armed Forces will stand united with the nation and stand firm to protect peace and stability in the beloved homeland.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, in a special message to the nation on Independence Day, paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founders of Pakistan and those who sacrificed for freedom.
They said that the vision, courage and determination of the founders of Pakistan are always a source of guidance for the nation.
The vision and principles of the founders of Pakistan continuously inspire the nation to uphold the ideals and values of Pakistan.
While paying tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs and saluting the services of the veterans and ex-servicemen, they added that we acknowledge the services of all the soldiers of the armed forces, the services of the law enforcement agencies and the national services of every Pakistani citizen.
The selfless services of the martyrs, veterans, law enforcement officials and the nation have strengthened the resilience of Pakistan.
The sacrifices and selfless services of the nation have protected the freedom, security and national interests of Pakistan.
Defending the motherland
The Chief of the Armed Forces reiterated the commitment of the armed forces to defend the motherland as the guardian of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and said that the unwavering resolve of all members of the armed forces to defend the motherland against all threats remains.
“We reiterate our commitment to uphold the Constitution and fulfill the sacred duty entrusted to us by the people. The Armed Forces of Pakistan will stand united with the nation to safeguard peace and stability in the beloved homeland.”
Reiterating their commitment to create an environment conducive to national development and prosperity, they said that Pakistan’s strength lies in the unity and collective resolve of its people. Reaffirming their commitment to the enduring principles of faith, unity and discipline on Independence Day, the leadership of the Armed Forces said, “Let us strengthen national unity, promote tolerance and work together for a secure, stable and prosperous Pakistan.”
The Armed Forces, while giving the nation a message of unity, national unity and promotion of tolerance, reiterated their commitment to move forward together with the entire nation for the security, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and said: Pak Fauj Zindabad! Pakistan Hamesha Panidabad
