ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has appointed Professor Dr. Zakaria Zakir as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The decision to this effect was made following interviews with three shortlisted candidates recommended by the University of Kotli administration.
After due consideration, the President, who is also the Chancellor of the Public Sector Universities, approved the appointment of Professor Dr. Zakaria Zakir, who secured top position in the merit list.
Alongside Professor Zakir, the other candidates recommended for the post were Professor Dr. Muhammad Afzal and Professor Dr. Syed Habib Ali Bukhari.
University of Kotli
The University has a beautiful campus having class rooms equipped with audio visual aids.
Old campus has been allocated for business education and research along with two modern computer laboratories and more than 60 latest computer systems.
New campus accommodates the classes and offices for the departments of commerce, Public Administration, Economics, Information and Technology.
