PM Rathore to begin two-day Mirpur visit on May 2

MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore will begin a two-day visit of Mirpur on May 2, it was officially stated.

The Prime Minister is set to arrive in Mirpur on May 2 for a high-profile, two-day official visit focused on infrastructure development, healthcare, and public engagement.

The Prime Minister will be received at Mangla Break by a delegation led by cabinet ministers, including Chaudhry Arshad Hussain and Chaudhry Yasir Sultan. His first major stop will be Union Council Kharak to inaugurate several key development projects.

Following the inaugurations, the PM will preside over a District Development Review meeting at the PWD Rest House to assess ongoing provincial initiatives.

His afternoon schedule includes visits to the Kashmir Institute of Cardiology and DHQ Hospital for briefings on healthcare services. The day will conclude with a grand reception in Khari Sharif hosted by Chaudhry Arshad and a formal dinner hosted by the Mayor of Mirpur City.

On day 2 of his visit, the PM will meet with with local dignitaries. The Prime Minister would attend a major gathering in Mauza Janyal to distribute ownership rights letters.

New City Mirpur

A massive public rally is also planned for New City Mirpur, where the PM will personally distribute allotment letters to residents.

Between scheduled events, the PM is expected to meet with party workers and delegations to discuss local grievances. The visit will wrap up with a dinner hosted by Raja Shahid Iqbal Advocate before the Prime Minister’s departure, according to officials.
