MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq will hold an important press conference today (Monday) at 3:00 PM amid PPP’s efforts to install its own Prime Minister in the region.

According to sources, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq will highlight his two-and-a-half-year tenure as historic and may also resign as he has lost confidence of majority of the assembly members.

Position in Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly

The Prime Minister has lost the numerical majority in the Legislative Assembly after the separation of Pakistan Peoples’ Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N.

If the Prime Minister does not resign, a no-confidence motion will be moved against him, the PPP has warned.

It is to be noted that 10 members of the PTI forward bloc have also joined the Pakistan Peoples’ Party, after which only a few members of the assembly are left with Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq.

According to sources, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has completed consultations with his close associates and members of the forward bloc in Muzaffarabad.

It is also to be noted that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party has released a video of 27 members at a Sunday dinner in Islamabad, urging Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq to step down forthwith.
