MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, State ministers Ansar Abdali, Syed Bazal Naqvi, former minister Barrister Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani, Mayor Municipal Corporation Muzaffarabad Syed Sikandar Nisar Gilani and hundreds of mourners attended the mourning ceremony held at the Central Imambargah Pir Syed Alam Shah Bukhari, Muzaffarabad.
Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has said that the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his family is a shining example of the glory of Islam, the establishment of justice and the end of oppression and oppression.
In his special message on the occasion of Ashura, the PM Kashmir said that the steadfastness and sacrifice shown by the family of the Prophet (PBUH) in the field of Karbala will remain a beacon of light for the oppressed throughout the world.
He said that the incident of Karbala is an unforgettable chapter in the history of Islam, where the Imam Hussain (RA) and his martyrs sacrificed their lives for the survival of the religion. Their clear goal was to establish justice and truth and end oppression.
Prime Minister said that today the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are also struggling against India’s usurping occupation by following the footsteps of martyrs of Karbala. Kashmiri youth are standing firm with courage and determination in the face of an enemy many times bigger than them, and are performing the “Rasm-e-Shibiri” by sacrificing their lives.
PM Anwarul Haq, while terming the ban on Muharram processions in occupied Kashmir and the imposition of curfew on the occasion of Ashura by the Indian government as an open attack on religious freedom, said that the Modi government is taking away the basic human rights of Kashmiri Muslims.
He demanded that international human rights organizations to take notice of the fascism and religious oppression of the Indian government. He said that until every corner of occupied Jammu and Kashmir is freed from Indian rule, the Kashmiri nation will continue to struggle with its Hussaini determination.
