ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government is expected to reduce the petrol price in Pakistan for the next fortnight, while diesel, kerosene, and light diesel oil will be more expensive.

According to sources, the per-litre price of petrol could fall up to Rs 2 per litre in this week’s petroleum price revision.

High-speed diesel might go up by as much as Rs. 9.60 per litre on the back of a compelling increase in recent market trends.

The new price for high-speed diesel, on approval, is expected to be Rs. 288.40 per litre.

OGRA will send its pricing summary to the government on November 15, after reviewing the international market trend and data from the industry.

The government, earlier, raised the high-speed diesel (HSD) price by Rs. 3.02 per litre to Rs. 278.44, and the price of petrol was jacked up by Rs. 2.43 per litre to Rs. 265.43 per litre.
