ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has increased the profit rates for investments in National Savings Schemes. The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding these new rates.
According to the notification, the profit rate for Defense Savings Certificates has been raised by 19 basis points, setting the new rate for this scheme at 11.80 percent.
Similarly, the profit rates for Behbood Savings Certificates and Pensioners’ Benefit Accounts have been increased by 12 basis points, bringing the new rate for these schemes to 12.72 percent.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the profit rate for Regular Income Certificates has been increased by 60 basis points, setting the new rate at 11.76 percent.
The notification indicates that the profit rate for Special Savings Certificates has risen by 74 basis points, resulting in a return of 11.82 percent for investors.
Meanwhile, the profit rate for the 3-year plan of the Sarwa Islamic Term Account has been increased by 41 basis points, bringing the new rate to 11.57 percent.
For the 5-year plan of the same account, the profit rate has been raised by 54 basis points, setting the new rate at 11.70 percent.
These changes to the profit rates of National Savings Schemes have been implemented by the government through the new notification.
