KABUL (Kashmir English): Pakistan hit around seven targets inside Afghanistan in strikes believed to be in response to recent terrorist attacks from across the border, according to Afghan media.
Quoting sources, Afghan media has put the number of casualties in the bombings at 28.
Initially, a camp belonging to the militant faction Majlis-e-Askari Karwan was destroyed in Afghanistan’s Paktika province by Pakistani security forces, according to Afghan media.
Afghanistan-based groups involved in terrorism
The escalation follows a series of deadly cross-border attacks, including a suicide bombing in Bannu on February 21, 2026, which martyred a Lieutenant Colonel and another soldier.
After Paktika, the terrorist training center in Koz Bhar area of Khogyani district, Nangarhar, also echoed with explosions.
According to sources, several terrorists, including a very important commander, were killed in the explosion.
