Pakistan Army further solidifies its dominance at National Games

KARACHI (Kashmir English): In the ongoing 35th National Games in Karachi, the battle for medals among athletes continues with the Pakistan Army further solidifying its dominance by winning 71 gold medals.

The Azad Kashmir contingent has managed to win only one bronze medal, placing them at the bottom.

In the ongoing 35th National Games in Karachi, 12 more gold medals were decided in the track and field event on Tuesday.

WAPDA in second place at National Games

The Pakistan Army has further strengthened its dominance in the 35th National Games by winning 71 gold medals while WAPDA is in second place with 27 gold medals.

According to the medal table released by the Pakistan Olympic Association on the sixth day of the National Games, the Pakistan Army maintains its lead as it did from day one, with 71 gold, 29 silver, and 18 bronze medals, while WAPDA has secured second place with 27 gold, 17 silver, and 19 bronze medals.

Pakistan Navy is third with 10 gold, 9 silver, and 12 bronze medals, Pakistan Air Force is fourth with 5 gold, 6 silver, and 7 bronze medals, and HEC is fifth with 5 gold, 21 silver, and 27 bronze medals.

On the medal table, the Punjab contingent was sixth with 5 gold, 15 silver, and 24 bronze medals, Sindh was seventh with 2 gold, 12 silver, and 21 bronze medals, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was eighth with 2 gold, 6 silver, and 18 bronze medals.

Balochistan won 5 silver and 7 bronze, Railways won 3 silver and 13 bronze, Islamabad won one silver and 2 bronze, Police won 14 bronze, Gilgit-Baltistan won 2, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir won one bronze medal.

According to the medal table released by the Pakistan Olympic Association on the sixth day of the National Games, the men’s team from the Azad Kashmir contingent won a bronze medal in sailing.
