PAF attack on Bagram Airbase destroyed aircraft, military equipment: Report

KABUL (Kashmir English): Afghanistan has said that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) attack on Bagram Air Base damaged aircraft, helicopters and key military equipment.

It emerged in the damage report issued by the Afghan Taliban Ministry of Defence.

According to the report, Black Hawk helicopters, Hercules cargo aircraft, Tucano aircraft, armored vehicles, and other important military equipment were destroyed in the attack.

The document describes it as the biggest destruction of its kind. According to sources, the Pakistani attack was severe and caused significant damage to military installations.

Equipment at Bagram Airbase destroyed

According to the Afghan army report, the equipment at Bagram has been destroyed in the Pakistani Air Force attack.

The report stated that the 603-XUH Black Hawk helicopter has been permanently destroyed and is beyond repair, and the C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft was destroyed on the runway.

Super Tucano light aircraft, MD530 Cayuse Warrior helicopters, armored Humvee vehicles, and over 40,000 M4 and M16 rifles have also been destroyed.

Five million rounds of 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm ammunition were also lost in the explosions, and over 2,000 night vision goggles and advanced surveillance drones were burned and destroyed.

According to the report, the attack resulted in a massive explosion in a reinforced aircraft shelter, completely destroying a stockpile of precision-guided bombs, including 54 GBU and 500-pound JDAM bombs.

The report admits that this was the remaining American equipment that Afghanistan had.
