Over 107,000 pilgrims register for Hajj 2027 in first five days

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English):  Over 107,000 pilgrim applicants have registered themselves for Hajj 2027 in the first five days of the ongoing online registration process, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

According to the ministry, the ongoing registration process, which is being carried out on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis, has completed its sixth straight day without any hiccups.

As per a ministry spokesman, 85,000 applicants have opted for the government Hajj package, while 22,000 applicants have registered themselves under the private Hajj package.

56,000 applicants have applied for the long Hajj package, whereas 51,000 applicants have applied for the short Hajj package.

In the total number of registered applicants, there are 63,000 male applicants, while there are 44,000 female applicants.

Provincial-wise, Punjab has shown the highest registrations among all provinces with 51,000 applicants, followed by Sindh with 33,000 applicants, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 15,000 applicants, Islamabad with 5,500 applicants, Balochistan with 2,000 applicants, AJK with 600 applicants, and Gilgit Baltistan with only two applicants.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs informed that the registration process would continue for several more days, enabling intending pilgrims to register themselves comfortably from their homes.
