ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Thursday reduced the petrol price and hiked the diesel price for September 18, a few days after consecutive hikes in fuel prices.

According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was decreased by Rs 0.43 per liter, and the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was increased by Rs 3.47 per liter.

“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products for September 18, 2026,” the notification stated.

With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 390.79 per liter and diesel at Rs 424.92 per liter.

On September 16, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) hiked the petrol price to Rs 391.22 per liter and the diesel price to Rs 421.45 per liter.

The revised prices are in line with the government’s ongoing policy of issuing fuel prices on a daily basis from Monday to Friday based on international oil markets.
