NEW DELHI (Kashmir English): Afghanistan will be in India for a three-match T20I series from September 13 to 17, with all three matches scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as part of the teams’ Future Tours Programme.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have officially agreed that New Delhi will host the three-match T20I series.

Under the arrangement, Afghanistan will technically be the “home” team, playing their designated home fixtures against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

With this series, Afghanistan continues hosting their home fixtures in India in recent years.

The first T20I will be played on September 13, followed by the second match on September 15. The series will conclude with the third and final T20I on September 17.

Both sides most recently met in a three-match ODI series in June 2026, when India completed a 3-0 clean sweep.

Afghanistan will be looking to put up a stronger challenge in the shortest format when the two teams meet again next month.

The three-match series is expected to provide both teams with valuable T20I preparation while further deepening the cricketing relationship between the two nations.
