PESHAWAR (Kashmir English):  The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Cyber ​​Crime files FIR against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi over derogatory remarks regarding Mosques.

The CM KP’s remarks have caused widespread anger among the public.

Cybercrime officials said that the purpose of registering the FIR against KP CM is to investigate whether the conversation made by the Chief Minister violates any legal boundaries or not.

Various social media content has been included as evidence in the FIR, and legal action has been initiated.

Cybercrime officials say that legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed, and if anyone is proven responsible, strict punishment will be given.

“The above false, fake, and ill-will content, publicly and intentionally uttered, and promoted by the accused and others through social media are an organized attempt to undermine public trust on State institution, inciting racial hatred, create unrest in the country and destabilize national security,” According to the FIR copy available with Kashmir Digital.

“The accused Muhammad Sohail, is also found to be involved in preparing, publishing, sharing, and circulating fake and misleading content publicly on social media with the intention to incite violence, create racial hatred, panic, fear, disorder and unrest among the general public along with promoting anti-state sentiments, which is detrimental to the security, integrity and stability of Pakistan,” the FIR reads.

The case has been registered under Sections 11, 20, and 26-A of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016. Investigation has been assigned to Sub-Inspector Waseem Khan of the CCRC, NCCIA Islamabad, with the approval of the competent authority.
