ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): MG has officially launched the second-gen model of ZS in Pakistan. It is available in three variants, namely Vibe, Hybrid+ Excite and Hybrid+ Essence, which start at a price of Rs6,599,000 and go up to Rs7,499,000.
The first-gen version of the ZS was launched in Pakistan back in 2019 as a 1.5-liter combustion engine crossover, and the company added another electric variant in recent times too.
According to what PakWheels, a popular automobile portal, said, the base trim of the newly launched ZS continues to come equipped with a naturally aspirated engine. But the top two trims have been upgraded to a hybrid powertrain. Additionally, this new-gen model is also a bit longer and wider compared to its predecessor. The entire exterior of the vehicle has gone through a complete redesign.
The base model is called ‘Vibe ’, which comes with a naturally-aspirated engine, while mid-spec ‘Excite’ as well as top-of-the-range ‘Essence’ are both available as hybrids.
The basic Vibe costs Rs6,599,000 (ex-factory) whereas prices jump to Rs7,099,000 for the Hybrid+ Excite. For the top-spec Hybrid+ Essence, you’ll have to shell out Rs7,499,000. However, all three models ask for a booking amount of Rs1.2 million.
As far as specs go, we’ve only found data on the top-spec Hybrid+ Essence that lists its dimensions at 4,430 x 1,818 x 1,635 mm with a 2,610 mm long wheelbase. The top-spec trims come packed with several additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch rims, six airbags, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and 360-degree cameras.
It also comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system that supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a digital instrument cluster, an electric tailgate, ventilated seats, heated side mirrors, and intelligent headlight control.
