ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has rejected an attempt by Modi’s pro-government media to link Pakistan as a state to terrorism, saying Pakistan itself is not associated with terrorism.
During an interview on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, an NDTV journalist attempted to link the Pahalgam terror incident to Pakistan, which Anwar Ibrahim rejected.
He clarified that Pakistan is not linked to terrorism at the state level. Ibrahim added that Malaysia’s security agencies had not informed him that the Pakistani state was involved in terrorism.

The Malaysian prime minister also said that he had not been presented with any evidence regarding the Pahalgam incident, effectively rejecting the attempt to establish a link between Pakistan and the attack.
Earlier in the interview, he was first asked whether Israel’s actions in Gaza amounted to state terrorism, to which he replied, “Yes, it is state terrorism.”

He also praised Pakistan as a great nation with a rich history and civilization, challenging the narrative pushed by sections of Indian media.
