ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has appointed Major General Faisal Naseer as the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) with immediate effect.
The Establishment Division has issued a notification in this regard on Friday.
“Maj Gen. Faisal Naseer is appointed as National Coordinator, NACTA, in terms of Section 9(1) of the NACTA Act, 2013, on a secondment basis.”
He is appointed for the period of three years, on standard terms and conditions, as contained in JSI-4/85, with immediate effect and until further orders.
Maj Gen Faisal Naseer is an experienced officer with extensive experience in counter-terrorism operations, and his appointment is of exceptional importance in the context of the ongoing counter-terrorism operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
