TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has praised Pakistan’s role in diplomacy, saying the deep mutual affection between the two countries was a key factor behind Iran’s acceptance of Pakistan’s mediation efforts.
Speaking on bilateral relations with ARY News, Baghaei said the bond between Pakistan and Iran is based on mutual trust and respect.
“The love between Pakistan and Iran is mutual. If this mutual affection did not exist, Iran would never have accepted Pakistan’s mediation,” he said.
The Iranian spokesperson also expressed gratitude to both the Government and the people of Pakistan for their role in the mediation process.
“We thank Pakistan’s government and its people for the role played by Pakistan,” Baghaei stated.
Reaffirming the longstanding relationship between the neighboring countries, he added that the mutual affection and friendship between Pakistan and Iran would continue to endure.
