SUDHANOTI (Kashmir English): Locals held a peace rally against the unlawful protest and shutdown strike by the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in Palandri, Sudhanoti district, on Wednesday.
As per details, the rally was organised under the leadership of Advocate Wajid and proceeded from Kotli Chowk to Katcheri Chowk in Palandri. Around 450 to 500 people participated in the demonstration.
The participants of the rally called on the governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to ensure peace and restore the provision of basic facilities across the region.
They also demanded extention in deadline for filing income tax returns for another two months. Participants raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army during the rally.
