MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed Muzaffarabad and its surrounding areas on Wednesday, bringing much-needed relief after two days of intense heat.

As the first raindrops fell, cool winds swept across the city, providing a refreshing change in the weather. The rainfall also settled the dust that had accumulated on roads and tree leaves, improving the atmosphere and creating a pleasant environment.

Residents welcomed the change in weather, expressing relief from the hot and humid conditions that had persisted over the past several days.
