TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iran has reportedly conveyed its key “red lines” to the United States through Pakistani mediators, according to a report by the Fars News Agency.
The report stated that Abbas Araqchi shared written messages outlining Iran’s position during his recent visit to Islamabad. These messages reportedly included Tehran’s conditions on sensitive issues such as its nuclear programme and the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report, the exchange of messages does not constitute formal negotiations between Iran and the United States, but rather serves as a means for Iran to clarify its stance on regional developments and communicate its limits openly.
Sources cited in the report said that Araqchi is operating strictly within Iran’s established diplomatic red lines and the foreign ministry’s mandate.
Following his engagements in Islamabad, Araqchi departed for Russia, where he is expected to meet President Vladimir Putin.
During his visit to Pakistan, the Iranian foreign minister met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.
