RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded police action against terrorists in AJK’s Rawalakot on Wednesday.
The law-enforcing agencies killed four terrorists in Hussain Kot area of Rawalakot, while the funeral prayers of two martyred police officers will be offered in Rawalakot.
Among the killed terrorists is Zarnosh Naseem, from Ghaniabad, a suburban area of Bagh.
He was declared a terrorist some time back and a search for him was underway.
In March this year, police arrested a terrorist at Azad Pattan Bridge and recovered weapons and ammunition from him. At that time, police stated that five terrorists had entered Azad Kashmir.
The arrested terrorist confessed that he was involved in the murder of a police constable at a check post in Shujaabad and an attack on motorway police in Sangjani area of Islamabad, and was also planning major terrorist activities in Azad Kashmir.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid tribute to law-enforcement agencies for their successful operation against the terrorists.
Naqvi paid tribute to the two police officers martyred during the operation and said that the police officers bravely confronted the terrorists and sent four terrorists to hell.
He said that both martyred police officers set a high example by sacrificing their precious lives in the line of duty and attained the high rank of martyrdom.
The Minister said they salute the martyred police officers and share equally in the grief of the martyrs’ families.
