ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): PM AJK Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has declared that India would not dare launch an attack on Pakistan as long as Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir is in command. He made the remarks while speaking to participants of the 15th National Workshop Balochistan in Islamabad.
Describing himself as the Prime Minister of a united Kashmir, PM AJK said India’s claim to the region based on the Maharaja’s agreement is fake. He stated that the annulment of Articles 35A and 370 by India had already nullified that so-called agreement.
PM AJK stressed that Pakistan is militarily strong and ready to respond immediately and decisively if India attempts any aggression. “Modi doesn’t dare to cross international borders,” he said, adding that under the leadership of a brave commander like General Munir, such a move is unthinkable.
He recalled the events of 2019 when India carried out a night-time airstrike, which he described as a cowardly act. “They only managed to kill two crows, while we downed two Indian jets in broad daylight,” he said.
He noted that one of the Indian pilots was captured in his district of Bhimber, faced humiliation from the local people, and was served tea, something that brought India global embarrassment.
Discussing his personal life, PM AJK emphasised his simple lifestyle. “I have only four pairs of clothes, which I wear repeatedly,” he said, adding that he doesn’t draw a salary, nor does he claim any travel or daily allowances. “I do not indulge in luxury at the public’s expense, nor do I allow anyone else to,” he remarked.
He spoke emotionally about the situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir, saying, “My children are being martyred daily, and many women are left widowed. I do not live a VIP life; my wife washes our clothes herself.”
PM AJK also shared that India, despite being a major power, could not tolerate his interviews. “The channels that aired my interviews were banned,” he said.
