ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a schedule for planned load shedding in different areas within its jurisdiction on Friday, due to routine maintenance and development works.
A spokesman for IESCO told The News that electricity supply to some areas will be temporarily discontinued during the specified timings, and details of which have been shared to enable consumers to manage their affairs accordingly.
Attock Circle
The areas to remain without electricity on this feeder from 5 am to 11 am include: Munirabad, Garhi Afghan, Lala Rukh, Industrial, etc.
Chakwal Circle
The following areas will have no electricity between 6 am and 10 am on the following feeders: Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur, Sagharpur, CWO, etc.
Jhelum Circle
Power will be suspended on the Karoli Feeder from 6 am to 10 am. GSO Circle: Load shedding will be observed on 132kv transmission lines as follows: AWC HMC Taxila and Sangjani Burhan lines will remain closed from 9 am to 4 pm.
Chakwal Bhagwal, Talagang, Kahuta City, Palandri and New Wah Bahtermore lines will remain closed from 8 am to 6 pm. Any allied equipment and surrounding area shall remain deprived of power supply during these timings.
The company has apologised to the consumers for any inconvenience caused.
However, they have assured to try to resume power supply earlier if the repair and maintenance works are completed ahead of schedule.
