BEIJING (Kashmir English): The tech giant Honor is going to unveil the Honor 500 series, including its pro model, on November 24 in China.
The design of both smartphones has already been teased, and now the company has confirmed a major feature upgrade for the Pro model.
Honor announced that the Honor 500 Pro will boast a new 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
This type of sensor is more secure and more accurate than the optical ones used across most devices.
Honor says the new sensor will unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds, including when the user’s hands or the screen are wet. The phone is also IP69K-rated, meaning it is built to handle high-pressure water exposure.
Although Honor has not yet announced the full details about the Honor 500 Pro, one recent leak proposes that the phone could feature the following specs.
The specs include the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 8,000 mAh battery, and 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The regular Honor 500 could, meanwhile, come equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. Complete details will be announced by Honor during the launch event later this week.
