BHIMBER (Kashmir English): Taking action in Kashmir Digital news, the Highways Department Bhimber has issued a clarification regarding the recent damage to the protective wall on Jandala Pirgali Road, Part 1, Kilometer No. 4, near Bela Barjah Bridge.
According to the department, the damage was caused by landslides and mountain sliding during the recent heavy rains.
After the Kashmir Digital news went viral on social media platforms, the Highways Department took prompt action and requested the Central Highways Office, Muzaffarabad, to conduct a Geo Tech survey of the site.
Once the design and proposal for the protection work are received, the department will commence work on the site and aims to complete it within this month.
The department has confirmed that traffic for all small and large vehicles has been restored on the said route. The Highways Department is working to ensure the safety and stability of the road, and efforts are being made to prevent any future damage.
