KARACHI (Kashmir English): The registration process for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Educational Scholarship Program is very easy.
According to the details, for registration in the Benazir Educational Scholarship Program, the child’s mother must be eligible for the Benazir Kafalat Program, and the child must have Form B issued by NADRA.
For registration, take the child along and go to the nearest BISP Tehsil office; provide the child’s Form B and the mobile number that is already registered in the BISP record. After registration, obtain an enrollment slip from the office, which the child’s school must complete.
The enrollment should include the class, section, name of the class teacher, signature of the head teacher, and other required information. Submit the completed enrollment slip again to the BISP Tehsil office.
After the necessary verification is completed, the child’s educational scholarship will be issued.
It should be noted that for the scholarship to continue, the child must have at least 70% attendance in school. In case of changing schools, immediately inform the nearest BISP Tehsil office so that the records can be updated promptly.
It should be noted that all BISP facilities are free, so if money is demanded at any stage, file a complaint immediately.
BISP issues important guidelines
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has issued an important warning to deserving and beneficiary women across Pakistan, directing them to immediately report anyone attempting to deduct, withhold, or stop their scholarship payments.
According to a statement issued by the BISP spokesperson, the financial assistance provided to beneficiary women is funded by the Government of Pakistan, and the full amount is the rightful entitlement of the deserving beneficiary.
No individual or intermediary is authorized to stop the payment, demand a share, or make any deduction from the scholarship amount.
BISP has urged beneficiaries not to succumb to threats, pressure or blackmail and to ensure that they receive their payments in full.
The programme said that anyone who obstructs a beneficiary’s payment or demands a portion of the assistance should be reported immediately through the BISP helpline 0800-26477.
