MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have expressed serious concerns over the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s announced protest call for October 4, urging political parties to avoid confrontation and disruption during political activities.
Citizens said repeated protests, sit-ins and road closures have severely affected routine life and created difficulties for the general public.
They maintained that long marches and sit-ins are not a solution to political problems, arguing that such activities often add to the hardships already faced by ordinary citizens.
According to citizens, previous protest marches towards Islamabad resulted in road closures and disruptions to transportation and daily activities.
They further said that the middle- and lower-income segments of society are particularly affected when roads remain blocked and routine movement is disrupted.
The citizens called for political differences to be addressed through dialogue and peaceful means while stressing the need to protect the public from unnecessary disruption.
