ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Google has introduced its AI Pro plan for students, offering advanced Gemini 2.5 Pro tools to students in Pakistan and over 140 nations worldwide.
The move adds one year of free access to assist students with writing, research, and study preparation through integrated AI features across Google’s ecosystem.
The strategy integrates Gemini, Google One, and NotebookLM to aid students in finishing homework, summarizing content, and creating study notes.
With Deep Research, Gemini can pull credible information from multiple sources and arrange it in a short and cited manner. The Guided Learning feature assists in explaining intricate subjects step by step to make difficult subjects more understandable than offering rapid answers.
Google AI Pro is also integrated with Gmail, Docs, and Slides, enabling the student to obtain writing ideas, create presentations, or summarize within these applications. The plan comes with 2TB of Google One cloud storage, including both Photos and Google Drive.
In Pakistan, 18-year-old students or above can register for the free plan. Based on Reddit posts, the student plan is valid until December 9, 2025, in Pakistan, so students have a brief time to avail themselves of the offers.
Another user mentioned that a temporary block of about Rs. 158 was displayed on their account while adding a payment option, but that was refunded afterward. Verification is done through SheerID, and a personal Google account is needed.
Google explained that linking an account to AI Pro is voluntary, and user data will not be transmitted or employed for training AI models. The firm stated it will keep refining the service based on feedback from students as more enroll worldwide.
