LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Government of Punjab has launched the Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program to hire recent graduates who want to work on climate and environmental projects on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

The announcement states that the internship program will pay selected participants a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000, which will continue for three months. The government will provide interns with official internship certification when they finish their program requirements.

The initiative aims to engage young people in climate-related projects and policy work while giving them exposure to environmental governance and sustainability initiatives.

The program will provide learning opportunities to the students (fresh graduates) through a Learning Management System, while participants will receive field exposure to both the Environmental Protection and Climate Change Department and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The participants will develop capstone projects while receiving guidance from industry professionals. The officials announced that they will select candidates through a district-wide merit-based system, which will enable all districts in Punjab to participate.

The educational institution reserved half of its available seats for female students. The interested candidates can complete their application process through the official portals, which are available at. The last date to submit applications for the first batch of the program is March 29 2026.
