KARACHI (Kashmir English): The gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decline on Monday because of a major drop in the global market for the second consecutive day.
The local market recorded a gold price which decreased to Rs. 490,362 for each tola after a daily drop of Rs. 21,500. According to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 420,406, which showed a decline of Rs. 18,433.
The gold price per tola reached Rs. 511,862 on Saturday after it declined by Rs. 25,500 during the day. The international gold price dropped by $215 to reach $4,676 for each ounce which included an extra $20 premium.
Silver prices decreased by Rs. 601, which resulted in a new cost of Rs. 8,405 per tola.
