GHQ hosts ceremony marking one year of Marka-e-Haq victory today

RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): A ceremony will be held at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi today (Sunday) morning to mark one year since Pakistan’s victory in Marka-e-Haq.

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will be the chief guest at the ceremony.

Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf will also attend the GHQ ceremony.

According to official sources, a floral wreath will be laid at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, followed by a salute presented by smartly turned-out contingents of the three armed forces. Field Marshal Munir is expected to address the participants.

The military leadership has declared this success as proof of national unity, public trust, and the professional expertise of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

A statement issued by ISPR said that Pakistan’s armed forces, with the full support of the nation, are always ready to deal with all kinds of internal and external threats.

ISPR statement further said that the success in the Marka-e-Haq is a manifestation of the Pakistan Armed Forces’ excellent strategy, unwavering resolve, and superior training.
