KARACHI (Kashmir English): Gold prices have once again recorded a significant increase across the country on Thursday.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 3,000 during the business week, after which the new price of gold per tola was fixed at Rs 430,436.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold was also recorded to increase by Rs 2,572, after which its new price was Rs 369,029.
Sarafa dealers say that the local market is also being directly affected due to the continuous fluctuations in gold prices in the global market.
International economic uncertainty, monetary policies of central banks of different countries, inflation, and increasing attention of investors towards safe investments are being cited as the main reasons for the increase in gold prices.
According to experts, if the uncertainty in the global financial markets continues, further increases in gold prices may be seen in the coming days. They say that investors consider gold a safe investment in uncertain economic conditions, which increases its demand and drives up prices.
