ANKARA (Kashmir English): A breakthrough has been made to further advance the decades-long brotherly relations and strategic coordination between Pakistan and Turkiye.
Chief of Army Staff and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has arrived in Turkey on a 2-day official visit.
According to security sources, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was given a very enthusiastic and dignified welcome by the high-ranking Turkish officials and military leadership upon his arrival in Ankara.
The main objective of this important visit is to further strengthen the defense and strategic relations between the two countries. During his stay, he will hold important meetings with the political and military leadership of Turkey, in which detailed consultations will be held on matters of mutual interest, the security situation in the region, and enhancing defense cooperation.
Pak-Turkiye Defense Cooperation and Modern Technology:
The relations between the two brotherly countries are based on common faith, culture and deep commitment, while there is already deep cooperation between the armies of the two countries in the areas of joint military exercises, defense production and technology transfer.
Pakistan has been acquiring modern defense equipment, including corvettes and drone technology, from Turkey, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s visit is of utmost importance to further advance this mutual continuity.
