ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday extended the date for filing income tax returns for the tax year 2026 till October 15, following requests from traders.
The notification stated that “the date of filing of income tax returns for the persons who are required to file their returns by September 30th, 2026 is hereby extended up to October 15th, 2026 in view of the requests from various trade bodies and tax bar associations.”
The FBR issued the directives in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
