MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday extended the date for filing income tax returns for the tax year 2025-26 till November 30.
According to the notification, the “President of Azad Kashmir has been pleased to accord approval to extend the date of filing of Income Tax Returns for the Tax year 2024-25 till 30th November, 2025.”
The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) issued the directives in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 4(2) of the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Central Board of Revenue Act, 2020, read with Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) directed the timely submission of returns for the tax year 2026, saying that the last date for filing income tax returns is September 30.
“Before filing the return, taxpayers should check their income, assets, banking, and other financial transaction records thoroughly and enter all the information correctly and completely in the return,” the FBR said in a statement.
It said that relevant documentary evidence should also be provided along with the tax return so that there is no discrepancy between the information disclosed and the financial records.
