MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Elite Testing Service (ETS) has been recommended to conduct recruitment tests for posts ranging from BS-07 to BS-15 in the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the department’s bid evaluation report, ETS emerged as the most advantageous bidder after the technical and financial evaluation of five proposals submitted for the assignment.
The evaluation was conducted under Rule 35 of the Public Procurement Rules, 2017.
The selection is expected to assign ETS the responsibility of conducting recruitment tests for various vacancies in S&GAD across grades BS-07 to BS-15.
AJK govt approves ‘qualification’ allowance for MS degree-holding employees
Earlier, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government approved a qualification allowance for government officers and employees holding MS degrees and other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, eligible employees will receive a qualification allowance equivalent to 50 per cent of the PhD allowance already granted to MPhil degree holders.
It added that the decision has been taken in compliance with the Supreme Court of AJK’s judgment dated June 28, 2025.
The allowance will be effective from May 23, 2017, the date of the HEC clarification regarding equivalent degrees representing 18 years of education.
The notification states that all other terms and conditions specified in the Finance Department’s notification dated July 12, 2016, will remain applicable.
