ATLANTA (Kashmir English): Defending champions Argentina defeated Egypt in the pre-quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to reach the quarterfinals.
In a match played in Atlanta, USA, Argentina won 3-2 after falling behind by two goals in the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
In the first half, Yasser Ibrahim scored the first goal for Egypt and gave the team the lead. On this occasion, Argentina received a penalty stroke, but Argentina captain Lionel Messi failed to score. Egyptian goalkeeper Mustafa Shabbir made a brilliant save on the penalty stroke.
