ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Strong earthquake tremors have been felt across different regions of Pakistan, including Islamabad, Peshawar, Batgram, Kohat, Hangu, and Malakand.
As per the early reports, the tremors were also felt in Swat, Shangla, Landi Kotal, and Mardan.
Seismological authorities said the earthquake measured 5.4 on the Richter scale. The tremor occurred at approximately 3:23 pm local time.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, a seismically active area that frequently generates earthquakes felt across Pakistan and neighbouring countries.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage due to the earthquake.
