BAGH (Kashmir English): Deputy Commissioner Bagh Raja Sadaqat Ali has said that nothing is more precious than human lives as he directed the Electricity Department officials to redress public complaints on a priority basis.
According to details, the Deputy Commissioner Bagh took strict notice of complaints on social media regarding faulty power lines.
He instructed the high-ups of the Electricity Department to immediately mobilize the linemen and line superintendents of their respective areas, carefully inspect both residential and commercial sides and repair the lines.
Incidents of electrocution and deaths are occurring daily. Timely actions can save precious human lives, he added. He directed the Electricity department officials to visit the sites vulnerable for incidents.
According to the officials, information about incidents involving electricity poles often comes through social media, while the concerned officials keep turning a blind eye to the situation.
The Deputy Commissioner said that strict action will be taken against anyone who shows negligence in this matter.
