KOTLI (Kashmir English): Commissioner Poonch Division Masood-ur-Rehman and DIG Poonch Region Sardar Zaheer Ahmed visited the grave of Inspector Naveed Ahmed, who lost his life in a tragic traffic accident, to lay floral wreaths and offer prayers for the departed soul.
Deputy Commissioner Haveli Raja Imran Shaheen also accompanied them during the visit.
The senior officials later went to the late officer’s house to comfort his family. They spent quality time with Naveed’s kids in a friendly and caring manner when they were grieving.
While speaking on this occasion, Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman and DIG Sardar Zaheer Ahmed praised the late officer for his character and dedication.
They described him as a dedicated, patriotic, and well-mannered police officer who served his duties with unwavering sincerity.
Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman said Naveed Ahmed was not only an outstanding officer but also a remarkable human being. “His passing has left a void that will be felt for a long time,” he added.
DIG Sardar Zaheer Ahmed remarked that Inspector Naveed always put his life on the line to protect others.
“He was highly respected within the department. He is a martyr, and martyrs live forever,” he said.
The senior officials described his death as an irreparable loss for the police force, the state, and society at large.
