QUETTA (Kashmir English): Two men associated with a courier and logistics company were abducted by militants of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Quetta, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of Rs25 million for their release.
According to security sources, the incident occurred on July 24 when four armed militants intercepted a Shahzore vehicle belonging to a courier and logistics company and abducted two individuals in the Killi Anjeeri area.
The abductees were identified as Jan Muhammad, son of Ghashti, and Sajjad Ali, son of Ali Muhammad Ghashti.
Sources said that on July 26, the kidnappers contacted the owner of the courier and logistics company, Muhammad Imran, and demanded Rs25 million in ransom. They threatened to kill the hostages if the demand was not met.
According to the sources, both abducted individuals and the Shahzore vehicle remain in the custody of the banned BLA.
